Ren’s Sushi, Japanese & Thai has been part of the Plantation dining scene since 2007. Formerly known as Kiko’s, the restaurant has evolved under new ownership while honoring the traditions and flavors guests have loved for years.
With a renewed vision and expanded menu, Ren’s brings together authentic Thai dishes and Japanese sushi in one welcoming space — offering something for every taste.
Owner and head sushi chef Richard Huang has been at the heart of the restaurant since the beginning. After working as head sushi chef, Richard took ownership in 2007 and has continued to grow the menu and elevate the dining experience.
You’ll often find him behind the sushi bar, crafting rolls, slicing fresh fish, and making sure every plate meets his standards. His passion goes beyond the food — Richard believes great service is just as important as great sushi, and his goal is simple: make every guest feel like family and spoil them while they’re here.
